Jennifer is a Licensed Marriage Family Therapist (LMFT) and a Licensed Substance Abuse Counselor (LCAS), and owner of New Wave Counseling PLLC She graduated with her Masters in Counseling and Marriage Family Child Therapy from the ground campus of University of Phoenix Costa Mesa. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Sociology from the University of Santa Barbara California. She specializes in marital and family counseling, as well as individual therapy for adolescents and adults. She has worked in many community organizations and is also a trained facilitator for Circle of Security Parenting to help guide parents and their child(ren) attachment needs. She works with First Responders, Veterans and their families. She provides treatment for individuals, couples and families dealing with substance abuse and other behavioral addictions. She also provides treatment in the areas of anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder trauma (PTSD), relationship issues, parenting, co-parenting, gender/sexual identity, and communication. She focuses on delivering a client centered, non-judgmental environment, and direct approach by utilizing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, multiple family solution modalities, Rogerian, Narrative, and Solution Focused, Emotional Focused Therapy (EFT), She is a fully trained EMDR therapist (Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing therapy). Jennifer strives for a fun, caring, empathetic, encouraging environment so the client can reach their fullest potential.
